Parkwood Healthcare was established in 1997 and includes a medical services division, a nursing agency and a patient transport service (NAS).
Parkwood Healthcare recruits a wide range of healthcare professionals including registered nurses (RMNs, RNLDs, RGNs), healthcare assistants, support workers and project workers. We work with a wide range of clients including the NHS, private and voluntary sectors. This includes private hospitals, nursing homes, substance misuse and learning disability units. We also have a strong presence in the community where we supply CPNs, substance misuse specialists and district nurses.

Equitable Access Programme
The Medical and Clinical Services Division of Parkwood Healthcare is submitting bids under the Equitable Access programme to provide GP Led Health Centres. With a number of bids submitted and undergoing evaluation, we anticipate being awarded contracts in the near future. As a result we are seeking to recruit in the following areas: West Midlands, East Anglia and London. It is expected that a number of positions will be available from January 2009 and we are seeking to appoint the following:
- Local Medical Director(s)
- GPs
- Practice Manager(s)
- Practice Nurses

Branch Manager
Bishops Stortford
Salary: £30,000
The Branch Manager will manage the day to day operations of the Branch implementing operational and quality standards and ensuring achievement of financial targets and future growth of the business.
The successful candidate will ideally be a Registered Nurse and have or be working towards NVQ Level 4 or equivalent. They should be able to demonstrate experience of recruitment, operational management within the NHS or private sector and will be aware of current healthcare legislation and issues.

National Ambulance Service
The National Ambulance Service is a dedicated and well-respected patient transport provider with a number of large contracts with both NHS and private clients. NAS Response is a response unit and can provide ad hoc single and double crew ambulances with full access for walking, chair and stretcher patients. In September 2005 we introduced NinA, (Nurses in Ambulances) as a direct result of customer requests and are able to supply nurses and healthcare assistants for escort and support duties on ambulances. We are the only private ambulance service offering this function.
